Day 45 – Pennsylvania


Under gloomy skies I depart for Philadelphia. The route I’ve chosen winds through rolling hills that are thickly wooded. The roads don’t offer any place to stop and photograph the scenery so I’ve found a painting by one of my favorite artists ( Eyvind Earle) that approximates the landscape. Under gloomy skies I depart for Philadelphia. The route I’ve chosen winds through rolling hills that are thickly wooded. The roads don’t offer any place to stop and photograph the scenery so I’ve found a painting by one of my favorite artists ( Eyvind Earle) that approximates the landscape.

I stop for a quick bite and gas at Sheetz (whose name makes me think of this scene from Airplane ) (warning:clip may be offensive to some).

The skies clear, temperatures hit 90. I stop for an iced coffee at a dunkin donuts and end up chatting for half an hour with Barry, who tells me of his travels out west.

    If you have not left Philly, I highly recommend this place for a pint/snifter and definitely some food. Great history, great decor, Excellent food, and in a cool area.
