Day 103 – Utah and Nevada


As I blast through Utah I vow to return soon, it’s just so spectacular. The rock formations are unbelievable, and I’m only seeing a small fraction from the road. As I blast through Utah I vow to return soon, it’s just so spectacular. The rock formations are unbelievable, and I’m only seeing a small fraction from the road. Nevada is more subtle but also has a solemn beauty, the rolling hills fading into the distance in gradually lighter shades if blue.
Today turns out to be the longest distance I traveled in a day, 610 miles, from central Utah to just inside the California border. By nightfall I was bleary eyed and dazed, but it felt good to push through, making the next day more relaxed. I fall asleep in Bishop CA, five hours outside the SF Bay Area.
