It’s real! The house is packed up, waiting for a last minute cleaning. Being here while it has emptied out slowly over the past three months has been a good thing. It’s easier to say goodbye when you have time.

I have laid out everything I will need for my cross country trip, now I have to figure out how to pack it into two saddlebags, a tailpack and a top-case.

To keep me company Skyler Nelson provided me with several inspirational messages.

She also gave me several traveling companions to keep me company.

As I looked over my available space I knew I would only have room for one of the jolly fellows. I broke the news to them as gently as I could and to my utter horror, watched as they fell on each other in a savage display of back alley fighting. When the dust and fur settled, Squirrely remained standing.

My spirit somewhat shaken, I resumed my preparations.
After reflecting on it, I felt certain the right mascot had been chosen. Squirrely is a perfect name for a motorcycle travel buddy.
