The road that runs around the circumference of the crater was mostly closed, after a too short visit I headed west on 138 through the Umpqua National Forest, yet another beautiful forest with a perfect road undulating through it. Surprisingly, the road ended abruptly halfway through.

The road reformed a half mile later, my nerves much worse for the wear.
I continued on to Roseburg, had a very late lunch then headed for Eugene. I stopped for an ices coffee and saw this amazing gift/head shop next to the freeway. Unfortunately no room for gifts or each one of my friends would have a giant mushroom for their garden.
