The $5 football that Tim picked up on the way is a big hit.

After dinner on Saturday go out for ice cream at the purple pie place down the street. Only those of us who ate our vegetables get to participate though.

Madison, who chose to not eat her vegetables, is seen here enjoying her simulated ice cream made from a bag of day old popcorn.

We see Wind Cave, an amazingly complex and beautiful underground world.
Unfortunately, my photos don’t turn out, the dark caves and their remarkable formations just look like smears.

Monday we travel to Mt. Rushmore. It’s an awesome sight.

I remember this (and Wall Drug) from a family trip in the old truckster coming from the Twin Cities. 4 kids plus Mom and Dad in the wagon. Checkout the Crazy Horse monument and Wall Drug if it’s on your way.

Wow!! Excellent pics, Scott, especially the ones of Mount Rushmore!! I had not been aware that Tim, Sue, Hunter and Madison were meeting you there. Am certain that this had to be one of the real high points of your trip, so far-even though you have certainly had some excellent get-togethers with friends earlier on.

We hope that you will have lots more fun times and learning experiences ahead. Love, Jack & Marilyn
